A UTSA Senior and Alamo Colleges Student Step into the Spotlight for Fiesta 2026

Fiesta 2026 Faces of the City: Local Students Take Crown and Creative Lead

Two San Antonio students are stepping into major roles as the city prepares for one of its biggest annual traditions, with leadership and creativity shaping the face of Fiesta 2026.

Julia Enriquez, a senior at the University of Texas at San Antonio studying politics and law, has been crowned Miss Fiesta 2026. Along with the title, she received a $15,000 scholarship and will serve as an ambassador throughout the year, representing Fiesta events and supporting nonprofit organizations tied to the celebration.

“As an ambassador for Fiesta, I am passionate about serving my San Antonio community… Let’s ‘Fiesta Together,’” Enriquez said.

Beyond the crown, Enriquez works as a housing promotora with the Mexican American Unity Council, helping families protect generational wealth through housing and estate planning.

A Student Artist Designs the Look of Fiesta

At the same time, Northeast Lakeview College student Eva Davidson is put the creative stamp on the celebration as the designer of the official 2026 Fiesta poster.

Davidson’s artwork was selected from a competitive pool of student submissions across the Alamo Colleges District, earning top recognition for its interpretation of this year’s theme, “Fiesta Together.”

The design will appear across official Fiesta materials, from posters to merchandise, becoming one of the most recognizable visuals of the season.

More Than a Title

Being named Miss Fiesta and designing the official poster go beyond recognition—they place two local students at the center of how San Antonio sees and celebrates itself.

For Julia Enriquez, the crown represents service, visibility, and a platform to connect communities across the city. For Eva Davidson, the poster becomes part of Fiesta’s identity, shaping how the celebration is experienced and remembered.

Together, their roles reflect a shift toward a younger generation not just participating in Fiesta, but helping define what it looks like moving forward.
