SAISD Students Perform During the Battle of Flowers Parade in Downtown San Antonio
San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) students will take center stage at the annual Battle of Flowers Parade on April 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown San Antonio, bringing a full display of music, culture, and school pride to Fiesta crowds.
The Battle of Flowers Parade begins near San Antonio College and winds 3.2 miles into downtown San Antonio, ending near the Alamo. The vanguard steps off at 9:55 a.m., with the main parade following at 10:30 a.m.
Bands, Cheer, and Dance Teams March Together
All seven SAISD comprehensive high schools will be represented, with marching bands, cheer squads, and dance teams participating in one of Fiesta’s most recognized traditions. Their performances are expected to energize crowds lining the parade route.

Mariachis Unite Across Grade Levels
SAISD mariachis from elementary, middle, and high schools will march together as a large collective unit, leading paradegoers in lively singalongs and showcasing the district’s deep cultural roots.
Community Literacy Highlighted
The SAISD Foundation’s “Book Buddies” float will also be part of the festivities, highlighting literacy and student support efforts while adding a community-focused element to the parade.
