Drake Released His New Album “Iceman” Alongside Two Surprise Projects, “Habibti” And “Maid Of Honour,” Following Months Of Anticipation.
Drake has officially returned with more music than fans expected.
The Toronto rapper released his long awaited album “Iceman” on Friday, May 15, while also surprising listeners with two additional albums, “Habibti” and “Maid Of Honour.” The triple release arrived after weeks of speculation around “Iceman,” which had been promoted through livestreams, online teasers and unusual rollout moments in Drake’s hometown.
The release marks Drake’s first full length solo albums since “For All the Dogs” in 2023, following his 2025 collaborative project with PartyNextDoor, “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U.”
“Iceman” had been expected for months, but Drake expanded the rollout at the last minute. During the final stretch of his “Iceman” livestream series, he revealed that three albums would be released at midnight instead of one.
The album rollout also included a large ice sculpture installation in downtown Toronto, which helped fuel speculation ahead of the release. Drake has continued leaning into internet culture and livestream promotion in recent years, using creator driven platforms and online personalities to shape the buildup around new music.
Features, Production And Feud References Draw Early Attention
“Iceman” includes contributions from longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib, along with producers including Overkst and OK. Guest appearances reportedly include Future and rising artist Molly Santana.
The project also includes appearances and references connected to comedian Shane Gillis and internet personality DJ Akademiks, adding to the online heavy nature of the rollout.
Several tracks are already being examined for apparent references to Drake’s public feud with Kendrick Lamar, one of hip hop’s defining storylines of 2024. Some lyrics appear to revisit criticism and allegations that surfaced during the battle, including references tied to Lamar’s Grammy winning diss track “Not Like Us.”
Drake Reenters The Conversation With One Of The Year’s Biggest Drops
With three albums arriving at once, Drake has placed himself back at the center of hip hop conversation. Fans are still unpacking the lyrics, guest appearances and themes across “Iceman,” “Habibti” and “Maid Of Honour,” but the scale of the release immediately made it one of the most discussed music moments of the year.
After a turbulent stretch marked by public scrutiny, online debate and one of rap’s most watched feuds in years, Drake’s triple album drop signals an aggressive return to the charts, the conversation and the streaming era he helped define.
