The Rhythm & Girlz Step Team Combines Performance Training with Mentorship, Leadership Development, Community Service and College Tours
This Is 4 My Girlz Inc. is accepting new members for its Rhythm & Girlz Step Team, a youth program designed to help girls develop confidence, leadership skills and lasting friendships.
Registration is open to girls ages 8 to 18. The deadline to join is Aug. 31.
The program uses step performance as a way to encourage girls to be bold, make their voices heard and become confident leaders. Members participate in weekly practices in Converse and receive step-team training with opportunities to perform at events.
Membership also includes mentorship, life-skills workshops, sisterhood and leadership development. Participants may take part in community service projects, special events, travel opportunities and college tours.
The organization describes its mission as “creating the village for every girl who needs it.” Through team activities and guidance, Rhythm & Girlz seeks to provide girls with a supportive environment where they can grow, learn and make an impact in their communities.
