Free Aug. 8 Event Will Provide Backpacks, School Supplies, Haircuts and Family Activities for 500 San Antonio Students During Texas’ Tax-Free Weekend
As San Antonio families prepare for the new school year, George Salinas Injury Lawyers will host its inaugural “Ready, Set, School!” backpack giveaway, providing 500 local students with free backpacks filled with essential school supplies during Texas’ tax-free weekend.
The free community event will take place Saturday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the George Salinas Injury Lawyers office, 6243 IH-10 West, San Antonio, TX 78201.
Free School Supplies and Family Fun
In addition to free backpacks and school supplies, families can enjoy a variety of activities including face painting, balloons, snacks, free haircuts and child safety kits. The event is designed to help students prepare for the 2026-27 school year while creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for local families.
The backpack giveaway is free and open to the community while supplies last.
Celebrating 20 Years of Service
