Houston’s Own Bun B Steps Up for Central Texas Flood Relief
Houston rap legend Bun B is stepping up to support victims of the devastating floods that struck Central Texas, announcing that his popular restaurant Trill Burgers will donate 100% of profits made this Wednesday to relief efforts.
The announcement comes as Texas reels from the aftermath of unprecedented floods that claimed over 100 lives in Kerr County alone, with dozens more still missing. Bun B, known for both his music and his deep community ties, said the donation is a way to give back during a time of crisis.
“It’s just a drop in the bucket,” Bun B said on the HBCU Legends Podcast, “but we have to start somewhere. We’re using what we’ve built to help rebuild.”
Profits from All Trill Burgers Locations to Be Donated
Proceeds will come from both Trill Burgers locations in the Houston area:
• 3607 South Shepherd Drive, Houston
• 6810 Louetta Road, Spring
Customers dining at either location on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, will directly contribute to the flood relief fund.
Texas Still Recovering from Deadly Flooding
The catastrophic flooding from July storms has left Central Texas communities devastated, particularly in the Hill Country. In Kerr County, at least 100 people have been confirmed dead, with many more still unaccounted for. The floods have destroyed homes, campsites, and infrastructure, including parts of the historic Guadalupe River region.
State officials, including Governor Greg Abbott, have promised that search, recovery, and assistance efforts will continue until every missing person is accounted for.
A Call to Action
Trill Burgers’ initiative is part of a broader network of community-led relief efforts. Other Texas-based businesses, nonprofits, and restaurants are organizing similar profit-sharing days, donation drives, and supply collections to help those affected.
Bun B encouraged other business owners and public figures to “use their platforms and profits to meet the needs of the people.”
