Beyoncé’s Foundation Awards $10K Grants to Salons and Barbershops

Cécred x BeyGOOD Is Investing in the Culture — One Shop at a Time

Beyoncé is giving back to the beauty professionals who help shape culture. Through her BeyGOOD Foundation and new haircare brand Cécred, she’s teamed up with her mother Tina Knowles to award $10,000 grants to salons and barbershops across the country.

The grants support licensed hairstylists, barbers, and cosmetologists who’ve struggled financially and need help growing their businesses. To qualify, applicants had to show proof of shop ownership or a lease for a chair, booth, or suite. They also needed at least two years of experience.

37 Winners Receive Grants in National Expansion

In its second round, the program awarded 37 grants from a $500,000 fund. The first round focused on five cities, but this new phase expanded nationwide. Even applicants who didn’t win a grant received support. Finalists gained access to group coaching and help with MBE certification, thanks to a partnership with the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Winners also got free business tools and resources, according to Black Enterprise. These extras give entrepreneurs a real shot at long-term success.

Salons and Barbershops Seen as Sacred Spaces

BeyGOOD described salons as more than just businesses. They called them “sacred spaces” for self-expression and community care. This effort continues the mission launched during Cécred’s debut in February 2024, when the foundation gave out $130,000 in cosmetology scholarships.

With this program, Beyoncé isn’t just building a brand — she’s building a legacy. One that uplifts the professionals who keep communities confident, creative, and connected.
