Offset Hospitalized After Shooting Incident Outside Florida Casino

Authorities Confirm Non Life Threatening Injuries As Investigation Continues And Suspects Are Detained

Rapper Offset is recovering after being shot Monday evening in Hollywood, Florida, according to representatives and local authorities.

A spokesperson confirmed the 34 year old artist, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, is in stable condition and receiving treatment at a hospital.

“He is stable and being closely monitored,” the statement said.

Shooting Reported Near Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

Authorities said the shooting took place near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, a major entertainment destination in South Florida. Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the valet area shortly after 7 p.m., according to a statement cited by TMZ from the Seminole Police Department.

Police confirmed the victim suffered non life threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

Two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident, though officials have not released details about their identities or a possible motive. Investigators say there is no ongoing threat to the public as the case remains active.

Offset rose to national prominence as a member of Migos alongside Quavo and Takeoff. The group became one of the defining acts of the 2010s, known for hits like “Bad and Boujee” and their chart topping album “Culture.”

In recent years, Offset has continued building his solo career, releasing projects including “Father of 4” and other work that expanded his reach beyond the group.

Shooting Comes Years After Takeoff’s Death

The incident comes more than three years after the death of Takeoff, Offset’s cousin and fellow Migos member, who was fatally shot in Houston in 2022. That loss had a lasting impact on Offset and the broader hip hop community.

Investigation Ongoing

As of now, authorities have not provided additional details about what led to the shooting. Officials say more information will be released as the investigation develops.
