“I Am Every Woman” Concert Celebrates Women of Jazz at Japanese Tea Garden

The San Antonio Parks Foundation Presents “I Am Every Woman,” a Night of Music Honoring Influential Female Jazz Artists

A special evening of music celebrating the influence of women in jazz will take place this month when the “I Am Every Woman” concert comes to the historic Japanese Tea Garden.

The event is scheduled for March 20, 2026, and will feature live performances honoring the voices, creativity, and impact of women whose artistry helped shape jazz and soul music.

Live Music Under the Stars

Organizers describe the show as an elegant outdoor concert blending jazz, soul, and classic hits in a setting surrounded by the garden’s historic stonework and lush scenery.

Pre-show music will begin at 7 p.m. with DJ Catwalk, setting the tone for an evening of live performances by several vocalists and musicians. The lineup includes Faith Evangeline, Michelle Garibay-Carey, Tausha Jackson, Lemelle Taylor and Voices of Gospel, Katchie Cartwright, Nicole Cherry, and Alyssa Rosa.

Celebrating Women’s History Month

Produced by Nina Rodriguez and co-produced by Carbonlily, the event is designed to celebrate Women’s History Month by highlighting the stories and musical contributions of legendary women in jazz.

Music director Dr. Aaron Prado will lead the evening’s performances, which aim to showcase timeless songs and moving tributes to female artists whose influence continues to resonate today.

Event Details

“I Am Every Woman” will run from approximately 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Japanese Tea Garden located at 3853 N. St. Mary’s Street in San Antonio.

Tickets are $20 per person and are available online, with proceeds supporting programming and community initiatives connected to the San Antonio Parks Foundation
