Texas Has 3 of America’s Top Rated Fall Cabins

When the leaves start turning and the air gets crisp, the dream of escaping to a cozy cabin deep in the woods hits Texans just as hard as anyone else. A new survey by Texas Real Estate Source asked 3,003 Americans where they’d most like to own a log cabin—and three Texas destinations made the national list of most coveted spots.

Fall Cabin Dreams Across America

From the Rockies to the Smokies, cabins remain timeless year-round escapes. In the summer, they’re a base for fishing, swimming, or hiking. In the winter, they transform into fireside havens. But in the fall, when landscapes burst with red, orange, and gold, cabins truly shine.

According to the survey, the top-ranked destination was Estes Park, Colorado, framed by Rocky Mountain National Park and famed for its golden aspens. Other favorites included Pagosa Springs, Lake Arrowhead, and Lookout Mountain, each celebrated for its autumn scenery and accessible cabin markets.
