Lamar’s Halftime Show Earns Emmy Recognition
Kendrick Lamar added another trophy to his collection Sunday night, winning the Creative Emmy for Outstanding Music Direction for his halftime performance at Super Bowl LIX. He shared the honor with music director Tony Russell. The Apple Music show, staged in February, scored seven nominations in total.

The 2024 Grammy Awards broadcast was also among the night’s winners, as was SNL 50, the anniversary celebration of the long-running sketch show. Beyoncé’s Netflix special missed out on this round of awards, though she secured an Emmy last month for costume design.
