The City of San Antonio Is Hiring for Summer Positions Across Pools and Community Centers

The City of San Antonio is preparing for summer by hosting a Parks and Recreation Summer Job Fair on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Roosevelt Park Pool and Clubhouse (311 Roosevelt Ave).

The City is hiring for seasonal roles supporting pool operations and youth programming across San Antonio.

Available Positions

Aquatics: lifeguard, swimming pool supervisor, recreation supervisor
Summer Youth Program: community services specialist, recreation assistant, recreation instructor, recreation specialist

What to Expect

Attendees can speak directly with hiring managers, receive application assistance, and interview on the spot.

Lifeguard applicants (age 16+) should bring a swimsuit and towel for required swim testing. Recreation roles are open to applicants 18 and older.

Pay and Incentives

Positions pay between $18 and $22.20 per hour. Lifeguards may receive up to $500 in incentives, while pool supervisors may earn up to $800, paid in increments. Both roles include a $75 swimsuit reimbursement.

Positions are available across the city’s 24 pools, community centers, and schools. Applicants are encouraged to apply in advance at SA.gov/careers.
