Community Members Who Donate Food Can Enter to Win a Cowboy Cookout Prize Bundle
As February marks National Canned Food Month, staff at Mission Trail Baptist Hospital are inviting the community to help tackle food insecurity with a rodeo-themed food drive benefiting the San Antonio Food Bank.
The hospital, located in the Brooks City Base area, will host its first “Rodeo Roundup” food drive from Feb. 16–20, encouraging residents to donate non-perishable human and pet food items. Donations will be accepted daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the hospital lobby.
February is often one of the most challenging months for food banks, with lower volunteer engagement and fewer donations. Texas continues to rank among the highest states in the nation for food insecurity, making community drives like this especially critical.

Hospital CEO Erik Frederick said the initiative is about bringing neighbors together to make a local impact.
Hunger is a problem all year round and this is our way to help make a difference and have fun at the same time. Frederick said.
Anyone who donates can scan a QR code onsite to enter for a chance to win a Cowboy Cookout Inspired Prize Bundle that includes a cast-iron skillet, recipe booklet, serving ladle, insulated container and more.
Donation bins and sign-up tables will be located inside the hospital lobby at 3333 Research Plaza, 78235.
