HBCU GO Football 2025: A Season Built on Tradition and Rivalries
The Allen Media Group free-streaming sports platform HBCU GO has kicked off its 2025 football season, delivering 26 electrifying matchups across 13 weeks. Billed as the nation’s leading media provider for Historically Black Colleges and Universities, HBCU GO is showcasing the rivalries, homecomings, and cultural traditions that define HBCU sports.
This season opened on August 30, when Jackson State defeated Hampton University 28-14. But that was only the beginning. The 2025 schedule spans powerhouse programs from the CIAA, SIAC, and SWAC, with games stretching from Mississippi to New York to Las Vegas.
Big Games on the Calendar
- September 13 – The HBCU NYC Classic at MetLife Stadium reignites the historic Morehouse vs. Howard rivalry.
- October 18 – Prairie View A&M faces Southern University for an action-packed Homecoming clash.
- October 25 – The inaugural HBCU Las Vegas Classic brings Jackson State and Grambling State under the bright lights of Allegiant Stadium.
- November 1 – Alcorn State takes on Texas Southern in a pivotal SWAC showdown.
- November 8 – Florida A&M battles North Carolina Central, a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference heavyweight clash with bragging rights on the line.
- November 15 – The CIAA Championship crowns the league’s champion.
- November 22 – Alabama A&M closes the season against Texas Southern.
Other major battles include the Virginia State vs. Virginia Union CIAA rivalry, Tuskegee vs. Albany State for SIAC homecoming glory, and the Truth & Service Classic featuring Hampton vs. Howard.
