Waseem grew up on the East Side of San Antonio, graduating from Sam Houston High School, where he was an all-star basketball player. Waseem went on to play D1 college basketball at Texas A&M, is still a basketball fan, and enjoys covering the San Antonio Spurs.

He holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in English and history from Texas Lutheran University and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Prescott College. His interests range from millennial interests to popular culture, Black male queer experiences, feminism, and impact-based art.
Mario Salas
Professor Mario Marcel Salas is a retired Assistant Professor of Political Science, having taught Texas Politics, Federal Politics, Political History, the Politics of Mexico, African American Studies, Civil Rights, and International Conflicts. He has served as a City Councilman for the City of San Antonio, and was very active in the Civil Rights Movement in SNCC for many years. He is also a life time member of the San Antonio NAACP. He has authored several editorials, op-eds, and writings.
Connor Wiley
Connor Wiley is a recent graduate of Southwestern University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Film. Some of his passions include TV, film, music and all things pop culture.
