San Antonio City Elections Are Right Around the Corner, Here Is Who You Need to Know

The City of San Antonio, as it does every two years, will be conducting elections for the opportunity to represent ten Council districts, as well as for the Office of the Mayor.


There are multiple candidates,, in each district, each vying for an opportunity to be elected to public office, where they will be responsible for making decisions on the following:

  • Affordable Housing
  • Budget and Taxes
  • Neighborhoods & Parks
  • Police & Public Safety
  • Public Transit & Roads
  • Schools & Libraries.

The lists of names displayed of those candidates vying for District’s 1-5 encompasses all of those who are running per district including mayoral candidates.

There’s also Proposition A on the ballot, which has been addressed in a previous article by Observer. Here is more Prop A information. This writer will address the remaining five (5) Council districts, next week.

Researching the candidates that are running for your district is important to know where they stand on issues important to your household. Early voting begins on April 24, 2023.
