Wendy’s Joins the Chicken Tender Wars With New “Tendys” and Six Sauces
Wendy’s is officially stepping into the chicken tender game with Tendys, crispy seasoned all white meat chicken tenders now available nationwide.
The launch follows more than a year of development and testing to make sure Wendy’s could stand out in the crowded chicken category. The key is not just the tenders but a new lineup of six sauces designed to be as craveable as the chicken itself.
The full sauce lineup: Wendy’s Signature creamy with black pepper and hot sauce notes; Sweet Chili sweet heat with sriracha, garlic, and ginger; Scorchin’ Hot creamy with slow building spice; Creamy Ranch updated and refrigerated for freshness; Honey BBQ smoky and sweet; Honey Mustard tangy Dijon blended with honey.

Wendy’s says the sauces were built to be mixed, letting fans create their own flavor combos, a nod to Gen Z’s obsession with personalization.
Tendys come in three or four piece orders with two sauces included, and are also offered in Kids’ Meals. To hype the launch, select locations will temporarily rebrand as “Tendy’s” this October with immersive sauce pairing experiences and social media ready takeovers.
Wendy’s U.S. CMO Lindsay Radkoski calls the new menu item a natural next step: “We’re really known for flavor. With Tendys and these sauces, we wanted to give customers something bold, fun, and distinctly Wendy’s.”
