VIA is resuming service to areas previously under construction and making other schedule improvements as part of service changes starting Jan. 9, 2023. Some of the changes are in preparations for the upcoming opening of the upgraded Naco Pass Mobility Hub, expected to be completed and operational by mid-February.
ROUTES: 2- Blanco, 95- Fredericksburg Road, 96- Vance Jackson, 97- West Ave., 202- Blanco Lineup, 296- Vance Jackson/ West Ave., SERVICE REVISION: Will return to normal route following detours on Fredericksburg Road.
ROUTES: 9- Broadway, 14- Perrin Beitel, 502- Thousand Oaks, SERVICE REVISION: Will return to the upgraded Naco Pass Mobility Hub. Work on the upgraded Naco Pass Mobility Hub is still ongoing, therefore it will not open on January 9 as planned. The new schedules for Routes 9, 14 and 502 starting January 9 will be followed except detour to the current temporary hub on Naco Perrin just west of Perrin Beitel.
ROUTES: 21 – Kirby / Converse, SERVICE REVISION: Frequency will be improved from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during the peak hours in the morning and afternoon.
ROUTES: 42– Roosevelt, SERVICE REVISION: Will be extended to Navistar Manufacturing for one trip in the morning and one trip in the afternoon.
ROUTES: 64- US 90, SERVICE REVISION: Will return to Loop 410 following a construction detour and the schedule will be adjusted to improve reliability.
ROUTES: 515- Southcross, 524- General McMullen, 251- Nogalitos St., SERVICE REVISION: Will be modified at Bynum due to long-term construction.
ROUTES: 603- Medical Center/ UTSA, SERVICE REVISION: Will continue as Route 604 at the Medical Center Transit Center.
ROUTES: 604- Medical Center/ University Park, SERVICE REVISION: Will continue as Route 603 at the Medical Center Transit Center.
ROUTES: 611- Valley- HI/ Kel-Lac, SERVICE REVISION: Will be modified from Old Valley Hi to Valley Hi Drive.
ROUTES: 651- Deco District/ Castle Hills, SERVICE REVISION: Will be modified to travel from Neer to El Monte Blvd., Catalina Ave., Olympia Dr., Warner Ave, resuming current route on Mariposa. There will be no schedule change.
