Vance Price List: $15,000 for a Photo!

JD Vance’s Unbelievable Price Tags During San Antonio Visit: Laughable and Insane

San Antonio witnessed a spectacle of astonishing proportions on Monday when Republican vice presidential hopeful JD Vance made a quick stop in the city. What should have been a straightforward visit turned into an eye-opening display of exorbitant fundraising tactics, leaving many residents shaking their heads in disbelief.

During his brief stint in the Alamo City, Vance and his son made a pit stop at the iconic Alamo. However, the photo op was anything but picture-perfect. NBC affiliate News4 San Antonio captured a moment that speaks volumes: Vance smiling widely for the camera while his son, clearly unimpressed, seemed eager to escape his father’s grasp. This image, while amusing, pales in comparison to the jaw-dropping price tags associated with Vance’s fundraising efforts earlier that morning.

Hosted by Dennis E. Nixon, CEO of International Bank of Commerce (Dennis Nixon and any attendee now has very questionable ethics) the fundraising breakfast was an exclusive affair with a hefty entry fee. Attendees were expected to shell out $3,300 per person or $5,000 per couple just for the privilege of being in the same room as the Ohio senator. But the real shockers came with the additional costs: a photo op with Vance demanded a staggering $15,000, and a seat at the roundtable discussion skyrocketed to an eye-watering $25,000. The pièce de résistance was the host committee membership, which set donors back a cool $50,000.

In stark contrast, the Harris/Walz Campaign has been raking in donations through widespread grassroots support, making Vance’s high-dollar approach seem even more absurd. The sheer audacity of asking for such exorbitant amounts for mere moments with the candidate raises serious questions about the campaign’s financial health and the priorities of its donors.

To put it mildly, these price tags are not just high—they are laughably insane. It’s hard not to wonder what kind of message this sends to the average voter. Are they supposed to believe that $15,000 for a photo or $25,000 for a discussion is a worthwhile investment? It’s a glaring example of how out of touch some political figures can be with the everyday struggles of their constituents.

As Vance continues his fundraising tour with another high-priced event in Houston, San Antonio residents are left pondering the implications of such extravagance. In a city where community and connection are valued, the sight of a politician demanding top dollar for fleeting moments of access feels not only laughable but deeply disconnected from the reality most people live in.
