The After Hours Til Dawn Tour Has Grossed Over $600 Million and Sold More Than Five Million Tickets So Far
The Weeknd has officially set a new standard in live music. His After Hours Til Dawn Tour has grossed $635.5 million across 102 shows, selling more than 5.1 million tickets worldwide since launching in July 2022. This milestone makes it the highest-grossing R&B tour of all time, overtaking Beyoncé’s record-setting Renaissance World Tour and eclipsing Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic World Tour in ticket sales.
Breaking Records Once Held by Beyoncé and Bruno Mars
Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance World Tour earned $579.8 million over 56 shows, while Bruno Mars previously sold 3.6 million tickets with his 2017–18 global trek. The Weeknd now surpasses both, becoming the only R&B act and only Black artist to gross over $600 million and sell more than five million tickets on a single tour.
Stadium Expansion Fuels Success
The tour’s evolution is as much a story of scale as success. Originally planned for arenas in 2020, the trek was delayed by COVID-19 and expanded to stadiums worldwide. That leap quadrupled his per-show attendance, helping push earnings nearly eight times higher than his 2017 Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour.
The current North American leg alone has earned $243.3 million through Aug. 12, with final numbers expected to surpass $300 million when the tour closes in San Antonio on Sept. 3.
A Career-Defining Run
The After Hours Til Dawn Tour supports three albums: After Hours (2020), Dawn FM (2022), and Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025). During this era, The Weeknd has notched four No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Blinding Lights,” now recognized as the chart’s biggest hit ever.
Dating back to his first reported show in 2012, The Weeknd has grossed $734 million and sold 6.3 million tickets from more than 200 concerts. But this tour alone has cemented him as one of the most dominant live performers in music history.
