TEXAS GOP ADOPTS EXTREME POLITICAL DOCTRINE, BETO CLOSES IN ON ABBOTT

The Quest to Fix Texas Lies Solely in our Vote- Our Vote is Louder Than our Voices

Texas is a great place to live.  Texans proudly live in this state and rep their home teams, local communities and cities.  But, there is a lot of work to do on Texans part- politicians definitely will not be doing the work on their own.

This year is an election year for Texas.  Which means it is again in the voters hands to tell the political class what they want, who they want and how they want things to be in the state they call home.  Texas voters will be going to the polls in November and must remember that the messes we are dealing with now we must take to the polls.  Us– the people, to enact the change we keep begging for, yet never see.  As Observer Columnist, Lena Lopez, stated in her education column last week, “They do not hear our screams but they will hear our vote.”

From a woman’s choice to govern her own uterus to automatic rifles gunning down our children it truly is time to get registered and ready for November.  If you are not already registered to vote visit https://www.bexar.org/1702/Register-to-Vote.  This is hardly optional.  Vote for every child and teacher who lost their life senselessly in Uvalde.  Vote for the woman whom’s body is being governed by men.  Vote for humans that are kind.  At this point in Texas’ political climate it becomes more simple to vote.  Simple in the way of decision making.  Do we truly have to decide whether or not to allow school shootings to continue happening?  Do politicians truly get to make a woman’s decision regarding her uterus?  Vote for the rage to evaporate, vote for your families safety when traveling hoping they do not run into a ‘road rager’…vote for peace.

BETO CLOSES IN ON ABBOTT

Beto closes in on Abbott shrinking Abbott’s lead by only 5%

Texas Democratic Party Chairman Gilberto Hinojosa Released a Statement on 2022 Texas GOP Platform on Tuesday stating:

“The platform adopted by the Texas GOP this weekend is among the most extreme political doctrines this country has seen in decades. Texas Republicans showed us that they live in a parallel universe full of conspiracy-fueled hate — and that they have a truly twisted view of our democracy and Constitution.

“From saying that our LGBT siblings are living an ‘abnormal lifestyle choice’ just for living as God created them, to declaring President Biden illegitimate, to transphobic trash that deserves no ink, to requiring students to listen to live ultrasounds, to aggressively rebuking even the mildest of gun safety legislation, the Texas GOP has shown that they have gone beyond the pale — and that they are too extreme to govern this beautiful, diverse state.

“This November, we have a choice to leave behind the stupid, racist, divisive, bigoted culture wars these Republicans choose to promulgate — and head toward a better Texas: one where the lights turn on; where children are safe from gun violence; where all Texans feel included; and where working families are looked after and cared for, not caught in the crossfire of whatever the day’s culture war may be.”

We all have one life on this earth.  Our lives are guided by the choices we make.  Do we want to fight and listen to these far and extreme ideals and policies or can we simply all get up and go vote.  If we all vote they will hear our screams and it would be deafening.
