‘Tee Off for Humanity’ Hosted by Theta Eta Chapter

Swing for a Cause: Tee Off for Humanity Golf Tournament Supports Nursing Scholarships and Food Bank, Hosted by Theta Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc.

Theta Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce the Tee off for Humanity Golf Tournament to be held at Olympia Hills Golf & Event Center, Universal City, Texas. Tournament proceeds are targeted to provide nursing scholarships and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the San Antonio Food Bank.

Theta Eta Chapter – 40 Years Strong!

Theta Eta Chapter, established on December 7, 1984, is a professional nursing sorority dedicated to improving and promoting healthy communities in the San Antonio area through advocacy, collaboration, education, leadership development, and research. You may remember us as the yellow and green nurses who provide first aid at A Taste of New Orleans during Fiesta and provide first aid coverage at Juneteenth Celebration at Commanche Park.

Supporting Community Projects and Nursing Scholarships

Fundraising events are used to finance Theta Eta Chapter’s community service projects (Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Leadership Development, Programs for Seniors, Programs for Youth and Young Adults, and Research Development). Furthermore, because we are a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, all funds go directly to the organization’s mission. Their commitment to local nursing students was demonstrated by their generous scholarship awards of $8,500 in 2022 and $7,000 in 2023.
