When and Where is Super Bowl LIX?

Ticket Prices Drop Despite Historic Chiefs Bid
The Kansas City Chiefs have a chance to make history by becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls, but ticket prices aren’t reflecting that excitement. The cheapest ticket for Super Bowl LIX has dropped below $4,000 on the secondary market, according to reseller TickPick. This marks a 30% decline over the past week and is more than 50% cheaper than last year’s record-setting Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
Several factors are contributing to the lower prices, including a larger stadium capacity—Caesars Superdome holds about 74,000 seats compared to Allegiant Stadium’s 65,000. Additionally, there appears to be some fan fatigue with the Chiefs making a third straight Super Bowl appearance.
TickPick CEO Brett Goldberg suggested that if teams like the Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders, or Buffalo Bills had made it, interest and ticket prices would be much higher.
New Orleans also lacks the same allure as last year’s host city, Las Vegas. The city is still recovering from a recent terrorist attack, which may also be affecting fan travel decisions.

While ticket prices may be down, advertising rates are reaching new heights. FOX has reportedly sold at least 10 Super Bowl ad slots for over $8 million each. Initially priced at $7 million per 30-second spot, some last-minute buyers drove up the price, signaling strong demand for Super Bowl airtime.
