Stephen Curry Tops Forbes’ 2025 NBA Earnings List

Stephen Curry Dethrones LeBron James as NBA’s Highest-Paid Player in 2025

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has officially dethroned LeBron James as the NBA’s highest-paid player for 2025, according to Forbes. Curry is projected to pull in an astounding $159.6 million this season, with $59.6 million from his on-court salary and a staggering $100 million from endorsements, largely fueled by his Under Armour partnership and growing Curry Brand.

The four-time NBA champion’s financial reign marks the first time in 11 years that anyone has surpassed James atop the earnings list.

LeBron, Durant, Giannis, and Tatum Round Out Top Five

James, now second, is expected to earn $137.6 million, including his investments, film ventures, and lifetime Nike deal. Close behind him are Kevin Durant at $104.3 million, Giannis Antetokounmpo at $99.1 million, and Jayson Tatum at $79.1 million, highlighting a league where top-tier stars are commanding unprecedented paydays both on and off the court.

Altogether, Forbes reports the NBA’s top 10 players will earn $902 million this season, the highest total in league history.

Off-Court Empires Redefine Modern Athlete Wealth

Curry’s ascent reflects a broader shift in how NBA players build wealth, leveraging brand ownership and long-term corporate partnerships. While LeBron remains the face of player empowerment through media and business, Curry’s expanding empire, including equity stakes and his brand’s retail success, signals a new era of athlete entrepreneurship.
