Have You Seen The Starbucks Barista Cup?

Starbucks Holiday Season Kicks-off With This Critter-Shaped Coffee Container

Starbucks’ holiday season launch on Nov. 6 has turned into a full-blown bear hunt. The coffee giant’s newest collectible, the Glass Bearista Cold Cup, has ignited a frenzy among caffeine lovers and collectors alike, with some declaring they’d “fight” to snag one.

Priced at $29.95, the 20-ounce cold cup resembles a classic teddy bear donning a Starbucks-green knit beanie. The company teased the item with an Instagram post showing a barista crafting drinks in the bear-shaped vessel, sending fans into a frenzy before it even hit shelves.

“I’m paws-itive this bear cup is the best thing since sliced bread,” joked one Facebook user, while another Instagram commenter wrote, “This is the CUTEST cup I’ll ever own!!!!!”

Starbucks’ own social team joined the fun, replying to one fan who admitted they “hate coffee” but wanted the cup anyway: “Great news, you do not have to like coffee to purchase the new Bearista Cup!”

Before most customers could even line up for their lattes, the Bearista Cup appeared on resale sites like eBay and Mercari—some listings fetching $90 to $139, well above retail. Online, buyers compared it to last year’s pink Stanley Cup craze, with one TikToker boasting he’d already called his local store to reserve one.

“I will fight you for it,” he warned, echoing the spirit of holiday shopping chaos that Starbucks seems to inspire annually.

For those who miss the Bearista wave, Starbucks promises more holiday cheer. Alongside glossy tumblers, pleated mugs, and coffee-themed ornaments, the brand is also releasing a Hello Kitty collaboration on Nov. 6.

And come Nov. 13, fans can look forward to Red Cup Day, where anyone who buys a handcrafted holiday drink will receive a free reusable grande-sized red cup—a seasonal tradition that’s nearly as coveted as the drinks themselves.
