Spurs Bounce Back Against Jazz After Houston Rockets Game
The Spurs bounced back from Tuesday’s fourth quarter meltdown against the Rockets, defeating the Jazz on the road last night 126-109.
It was the second time in four days that the teams faced off with the Spurs winning Monday’s home game 123-110.
The Spurs shot 50.6% from the field and 41.9% from beyond the arc while outscoring Utah 32-10 in fast break points. This was a vast improvement over Tuesday’s poor shooting that saw the Silver and Black go 41-105 (39%) from the field and an absurd 14-50 (28%) from the land of three, including 0-13 in the final period.
Maybe it’s just me but the idea of a team shooting 50 three balls is insane….but this is the new NBA.

De’Aaron Fox scored 31 points on 10 of 13 from the field, including six 3’s to lead all scorers while V-Dub had 26 points, 13 rebounds, and five blocks in last night’s victory. Wembanyama was 9 of 14 with four 3s after a 5-of-21 performance in the loss to Houston.
KJ added 21 points and Stephon Castle had 16 points, eight assists and seven rebounds as the Spurs won their fourth game in their last five.
With the win the team remains one game ahead of Denver (30-15) for second in the Western Conference at 31-14 and six games behind the league best Oklahoma City Thunder (37-8).
The Spurs are still without Devin Vassell who’s out with an abductor strain.
