This week all SAISD students will start Spring Break, which will run from March 4th – 11th. . This also means that March 3rd is the end of the third grading period. So, when students return on March 14th, this will be the start of the fourth grading period. I hope that all my families have fun this Spring Break.
As your children are off this Spring Break, you might have them practice their reading skills, and this website has some free resources (https://wehavekids.com › education › elementary-reading). This will help our children with reading skills; it seems that many children have fallen behind during this pandemic. If you’re looking for some fun things to do during Spring Break, you can go to this website (https://alamocitymoms.com). Also remember that you can always visit places downtown and our parks.
Lastly, for those families needing assistance with food, please go to the Food Bank website, where you can register for different food distribution sites. Also, know that the Food Bank offers help applying for SNAP benefits and job training.
