A Spring Break Week Packed For Family Friendly and Communal Fun

As March and spring time begins, the calendar is beginning to fill with spring programming across the city. Spring Break 2026 in San Antonio is primarily scheduled for March 9 to March 13, when most local school districts including SAISD and NEISD will be on break.

The city is also opening its splash pads starting March 7 and offering free swim hours at the Atanacio Garcia Natatorium from March 9 through March 14, giving families more ways to cool off and stay active during the break.

At the same time, Women’s History Month events are happening across San Antonio Public Library branches, while community spaces like La Villita and the River Walk are hosting free workshops, fitness events, and seasonal festivals leading into St. Patrick’s Day celebrations later in the month.

2026 Spring Break Camps

Affordable Spring Break programming for ages 6 to 14 at locations including Copernicus, Cuellar, Dawson, Garrett, Garza, Hamilton, Harlandale, Melendrez, Miller’s Pond, Normoyle, Palm Heights, Quintero, Ramirez, Robinette, San Juan, Ward, Woodard, and Yates.

Cost is $3 per child per day and includes lunch and a snack. Activities include fitness, active games, science and nature exploration, and arts and crafts. Registration is required, click here to sign up.
