Bronny James has been getting a lot of media coverage, highlight reels, and headlines lately, and it’s not just because he’s the one of LeBron James – one of the best players in the game. The young man’s been making a name for himself on some of the biggest stages, including the national stage in front of his father, scouts, and basketball fans all across the nation.
The McDonald’s All-American was among some of the best prospects the country has to offer, and he put on a show. He finished the game with 15-points to go along with his game high four assists. Bronny got those points by making it rain from deep – five total three-point shots. This goes along with what he averaged in his senior year – 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals. You just can’t ask for a better performance than what he gave.
Here is what an NBA scout had to say about Bronny via ON3:
“Bronny won’t get drafted because he’s LeBron’s kid. He’ll get drafted because he’s an NBA player. He works hard, goes about his business, and is tough.”
Some analysts believe that Bronny will go top 10 in the 2024 NBA Draft. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony projects the 18-year-old to be drafted by the Orlando Magic. He may very well help turn the Magic franchise around if he continues ascending and improving his game like he has been so far. And if LeBron is serious about wanting to play on the same team as his own, who knows what that’ll mean for the Magic if that projection plays out.
According to Bleacher Report, Bronny has yet to make a decision on which college or professional league he’d like to commit to, but has multiple offers to choose from. He has three college offers so far: Memphis, Ohio State and USC.
His talent for basketball may be considered genetic, but his ability to stand out on his own, outside of the large shadow cast by his own father, is really impressive to say the least. It’ll be interesting to see where he decides to go.
