Free Landfill Day: A Convenient Solution for Bulky Waste Disposal
On Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the City of San Antonio is offering residents a valuable opportunity to dispose of their unwanted bulky waste free of charge. Several designated locations across the city will be available for easy drop-off, making it simple for citizens to participate in this eco-friendly event.
To take advantage of Free Landfill Day, residents must follow these guidelines:
- Be a City of San Antonio solid waste fee rate payer.
- Present a valid picture ID.
- Bring a copy of the most recent CPS Energy Statement showing payment of City Services for Solid Waste Fee.
- Ensure loads are covered with a tarp, in compliance with City Ordinance #2015-09-10-0760.
The designated drop-off locations are:
- Republic Services Landfill, 7000 IH 10 E, San Antonio, TX 78219
- Waste Management Landfill, 8611 Covel Road, San Antonio, TX 78252 (Safety vest may be required on loan)
- TDS Transfer Station (Bulky Items only), 11601 Starcrest Drive, San Antonio, TX 78247
For those unable to attend Free Landfill Day, the city’s four bulky waste collection centers remain available year-round, Tuesday through Saturday, free of charge. For more information call customer service at 3-1-1.
