San Antonio Celebrates Dia De Los Muertos, a Full Weekend of Festivities – Oct 27-29th

Day of the Dead San Antonio brings the rich traditions of Mexico’s Día de Muertos to vivid life, enabling us to share the heritage of honoring our departed loved ones by commemorating and celebrating their lives. Among U.S. cities, none embrace the vibrant and cultural essence of Día de Muertos quite like San Antonio. Throughout our city, diverse and longstanding events pay homage to culture and history, with some enduring for over four decades, uniting both locals and visitors.

San Antonio hosts numerous Day of the Dead festivities, highlighting artwork and cherished family customs. Día de Muertos is a holiday meant to be celebrated with family and friends.

Friday Oct 27th

La Villita Historic Village is located at 419 Villita St, San Antonio, TX 78205. 

Hemisfair Park’s, host of the Muertos Fest, states “Día de los Muertos, San Antonio’s beloved, cultural event. Muertos Fest returns to Hemisfair for an Eleventh year of celebration with a two-day, in-person festival. Experience. Enjoy. Remember. Our loved ones are still with us at Día de los Muertos.”

Dia de los Muertos at Hemisfair will be held on Oct 28th from 10AM- 11PM and 29th from 12PM-9PM located at 434 S. Alamo St.

With many free events going on at Hemisfair Park, La Villita Activations and other Day of the Dead events some tickets are required. Tickets for the Day of the Dead Parade and more can be found by visiting dayofthedeadsa.com for all events.
