Black Business San Antonio’s 2023 Women’s Month ‘NEVER LOOKED BACK’ Honorees, Black Women in Business Agree That Looking Back Is Not an Option
Dedicated to the women who left careers to pursue their dreams, Black Business San Antonio and the community is honoring these courageous business women this evening at the ‘NEVER LOOKED BACK’ awards.
March not only kicks off spring but it also is the month we celebrate women. This week we honor 21 business owners- women who left careers to follow their professional dreams.
This year’s Women’s Theme is: NEVER LOOKED BACK! Honorees of the 2023 Women in Business Awards are known for never looking back. They have taken leaps of faith over and over again. Now, as successful women in business and with fierce passion for their careers they are excelling where some thought they never would. Many of these women have had to pivot in the middle of growing their business whether Covid hindered them, inflation or any business matter that usually a team of ‘one’ can not do alone, these women have. They continue to learn from others in their field while adapting to consumer demand in order to stay open. Giving up or looking back, to them– “is not an option”.
Starting a business can be a risk. It takes time, money and a lot of sacrifice. These 21 women took a leap of faith and started a business despite all odds. Being a mother and wife already has certain responsibilities, ones you cannot just shirk off because you are starting or are a business owner. Balancing family, marriage and your business is a skill all in itself.
From community efforts to mentoring, these 21 ladies have become a true example for our young girls in the community and afar, not to mention an asset to our whole community and city of San Antonio.
Join us to celebrate women, black women and black women in Business while enjoying food, drinks, music, giveaways and vendors. We will be celebrating these women on Wednesday, March 8th from 7:30 – 8:30 pm at the Event Center at 8340 FM 78.
Special Recognition will go to these 21 ladies. We thank all the women for what you do, being you, and being an example of greatness to our city and culture.
