San Antonio to Honor Dr. King’s Legacy With Annual MLK March

MLK Day 2026 in San Antonio: Annual March, Community Unity, and Celebration

San Antonio will come together on Monday, January 19, 2026, for the 39th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. March, one of the city’s largest and longest-running community observances honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Thousands of residents, students, faith leaders, and civic organizations are expected to participate in the nearly three-mile march through San Antonio’s Historic East Side. Participants will begin lining up at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Academy at 9 a.m., with the official march stepping off at 10 a.m.

The march concludes at Pittman-Sullivan Park, where a free community celebration will follow. The post-march program includes multicultural performances, youth activities, health and wellness resources, and information booths from local organizations.
