A two-time All-American and a national champion from Baylor University prior to being drafted by the NBA Silver Stars back in 2006, Young-Malcolm was on 3 WNBA All-Star teams during her 9 year tenure with the Stars.

“It’s a complete honor to be here tonight,” she said. “I know my daughter before we were getting ready she said, ‘Mommy I’m so happy for you and so proud of you, you’re going to do so great tonight,’ so for her being 5 years old getting to experience this, I cannot explain it.”

Geroge Pasterchick, former long-time coach at St. Gerard Catholic school, has eight district titles under his belt while also claiming the championship at the Texas Christian Interscholastic League.  Pasterchick was an all-around coach also coaching a few minor league football teams- the San Antonio Charros and the San Antonio Toros.  For over 30 years he also was the coach of the San Antonio high school all-star football game.

Linam, a graduate of Madison HS went on to a record setting career at Baylor University in Track.  Linam became the Bear’ 1st three sport All-American.

“I think of all the phenomenal athletes, coaches that have come out of this city and to be recognized among them it’s truly an honor and I’m very grateful,” she said.
