San Antonio Prepares for Nation’s Largest MLK March and Celebration
The San Antonio Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission invites the community to join the nation’s largest MLK March and Celebration, set to take place on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Now in its 38th year, the in-person march will begin at 10 a.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy. Participants are encouraged to arrive early, as the march lineup starts at 9 a.m.
The celebration doesn’t end with the march. Following the event, the community is invited to gather at Pittman-Sullivan Park for a vibrant celebration featuring:
- Multicultural performances on the main stage,
- A health and wellness area offering resources,
- A youth area with family-friendly activities,
- Food and merchandise vendors, and
- Informational booths from community organizations.
While registration for groups, individuals, and marshals has closed, everyone is welcome to attend and be part of this important tradition honoring Dr. King’s legacy of justice, equality, and unity.
Mark your calendars and take part in this powerful community event that continues to bring San Antonio together year after year.
