The City of San Antonio’s Department of Arts & Culture has officially opened the Intent to Apply phase for its FY2026 Artist Grants. Local artists can apply for grants of $7,500 or $15,000 to support the creation of new, original work.
The program, launched in 2022, supports artists across all disciplines, including Literary Arts, Media Arts, Multi-Disciplinary, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts. It is open to individual artists, as well as collaborations, collectives, and ensembles, with the goal of funding diverse and high-quality creations to be presented in San Antonio.
“Artist grants are fantastic opportunities for artists at all stages of their careers,” said Krystal Jones, Director of the Department of Arts & Culture. “Whether you’re new or experienced, we welcome your participation.”
Key Dates:
• Now–February 7, 2025: Submit Intent to Apply
• January 13–February 21, 2025: Full application window
• March–April 2025: Application review panel
• June 2025: Applicants notified of funding recommendations
• October 2025: Contracts awarded
