Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner Set to Serve 29,000 Meals at 46th Annual Celebration
The 46th Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner will return on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center (900 E. Market St., San Antonio, TX 78205), continuing one of the city’s most beloved traditions of service. Each Thanksgiving, this event brings together thousands of volunteers to provide warm meals, entertainment, and companionship to seniors, families, and anyone seeking community during the holiday.

Organizers are preparing for a record 29,000 meals this year—up from the usual 25,000—as demand for assistance continues to grow across San Antonio. The increase reflects both rising need and the community’s enduring commitment to step up when it matters most.
ALL ARE WELCOME. Doors open at 9 a.m. An all-faith worship service begins at 10 a.m., followed by food service, entertainment, and dancing from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to come for a warm meal or simply to connect with neighbors in a supportive space.
Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones launched this year’s volunteer registration on October 28. Online sign-up remains open until all positions are filled at rauljimenezdinner.com/volunteer.
“San Antonio’s heart shows up at this dinner every year,” Mayor Jones said. “It’s a reflection of our city’s compassion and the power of service.”
Home-delivered meals are also available by calling 2-1-1 and pressing option 1.
