San Antonio Black Author Now Available on Amazon

San Antonio Native and Writer, Melinda Woods, Debuts Her First Book on Amazon

You should always celebrate Black voices (not just during Black history month), and literature is one of the best ways to honor some of the community’s most illuminating stories. Thanks to the work of African American authors, the world can better understand both the struggles and triumphs of Black people in America.

Melinda Woods was born and raised in the city of San Antonio, Texas. Melinda puts God first in everything she does. Her early exposure to writing began in middle school when she wrote her first poem entitled, “The Alphabets of Life” which she has included in this book. Coming from a family of eleven her mother use to always say, “Sharing is caring!”. This ignited a fire in her to write Christian-based poetry to share with the world. When she is not writing she likes to spend her time studying God’s Word, drawing, creating handmade arts and crafts as well as helping and sharing with others her time, talents, and treasures.

“A gripping romantic tale of a woman who finds the ideal man of her dreams only to later discover he wears two faces. Is Roderick her Knight in Shining Armor or a man who set out to harm her? After marriage, Lanette was happy to have found the perfect man, Roderick who maintained a masquerade of a friendly, respectful, and kind-hearted façade until he slowly uncovered his despiteful heart.”

Totally Restored and Faithfully Adored is Melinda’s first book. Melinda has shared her many writings with the San Antonio Community published here, in The San Antonio Observer. Lending her writing and poetry to her community has always come first and now you can find her on Amazon! To purchase a copy or download to your device click here or see above!
