San Antonio ISD Class of 2022 graduation ceremonies will be held from June 1-15, 2022. We have 16 schools that will celebrate this once in a lifetime achievement. Besides being there in person, you can also watch each ceremony via our livestreams. The countdown begins till graduation! Congratulations Class of 2022!
The District will be holding commencement events in June at our historic Alamo Stadium and Alamo Convocation Center. Students have been creating memories in this stadium since 1940, and there is not a more traditional setting for our Class of 2022 to commemorate their final moments as SAISD students.
Graduation Ceremony Protocols
SAISD graduation ceremonies will be held June 1-15 at Alamo Stadium or the Alamo Convocation Center, and will also be live-streamed and recorded. Those attending an event will need to follow safety protocols.
Ceremonies at Alamo Stadium will have unlimited seating. Ceremonies inside the Alamo Convocation Center (ACC) will have seating availability for 4,000.
Please note that in the event of rain, outdoor graduations will be moved inside the ACC.
Students and families are strongly encouraged to continue to wear masks and practice social distancing indoors in an effort to decrease the risk of exposure. Contact tracing and quarantine mandates are still in effect if someone is exposed to a lab-confirmed individual and considered to be at high risk. The District would like to ensure that no student misses their graduation ceremony due to COVID exposure and quarantine.
Audience participant protocols include:
• Follow Stadium requirements, including a clear-bag policy or purses not to exceed the dimensions of 5” x 8” x 1”
• Gates will be open one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
• Audience participants will be seated on the home (west) side of Alamo Stadium.
• Families encouraged to come in one car
• Face masks are encouraged to be worn while entering, sitting and exiting Alamo Stadium and Alamo Convocation Center.
• Ushers will direct attendees to seats
• Upon entering Alamo Stadium or Alamo Convocation Center, hands need to be sanitized.
