Residents Are Encouraged to Attend and Weigh in on the Eastside Cemeteries Proposal
San Antonio’s Eastside community will have the opportunity to review and discuss proposed recommendations for the Historic Eastside Cemeteries Master Plan during a public meeting on February 25.
The meeting is hosted by the San Antonio Parks & Recreation Department and the City of San Antonio Office of Historic Preservation. Officials say the recommendations presented were shaped directly by feedback from community members and stakeholders throughout the planning process.

The Historic Eastside Cemeteries hold deep cultural and historical significance for San Antonio. City leaders say the master plan is designed to guide preservation, improvements, and long-term stewardship of these sacred spaces.
The public meeting will take place at the Wheatley Heights Sports Complex Gathering Room, located at 200 Noblewood Drive, beginning at 6 p.m. Residents who wish to attend are encouraged to register in advance at SASpeakUp.com.
City officials say continued community participation remains essential as the plan moves toward finalization.
