Patriots to Unveil Tom Brady Statue at Gillette Stadium

Patriots to Unveil Tom Brady Statue at Gillette Stadium on August 8

In a tribute befitting his legendary career, the New England Patriots will unveil a 12-foot bronze statue of Tom Brady on August 8, 2025, before the team’s preseason game against the Washington Commanders. That date intentionally falls five days after Brady’s 48th birthday and aligns with “Tom Brady Day” in Patriots territory—known as 6/12, referencing his six Super Bowl wins and iconic jersey number 12.

The statue was first announced in June 2024, coinciding with Brady’s induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame. At that time, franchise owner Robert Kraft praised Brady’s enduring legacy, saying the statue

“will stand alone in the plaza outside of the Hall of Fame to symbolize his position, not as the greatest in franchise history, but as the greatest in all of NFL history.”

Brady’s record-setting career includes three NFL MVP awards and a league-leading span of Super Bowl victories—six titles with New England and a seventh with Tampa Bay in 2020. He also holds NFL career records in completions (7,753), pass attempts (12,050), passing yards (89,214), and touchdown passes (649)  .

The statue represents the newest honor in Brady’s storied history, with past tributes including his jersey retiring and a Hall of Fame induction . Team and fan anticipation is high as the Patriots prepare to immortalize “the GOAT” at Gillette Stadium this summer.
