San Antonio Food Bank Effort
On October 29th, the Psi Alpha Chapter headed to the Westside of the city to assist at the San Antonio Food Bank. The San Antonio Food Bank takes pride in fighting hunger, feeding hope in the 29-county service area. They believe that no child should go to bed hungry, adults should not have to choose between a hot meal and utilities, nor a senior sacrifice medical care for the sake of a meal. They achieve this through our variety of programs and resources available to families, individuals, seniors, children, and military members in need. The work by Psi Alpha assisted thousands having items they would not have had without the South Texas Food Bank and volunteers such as ourselves.
Charter Celebration
November 1, 2022 marked 82 years of service to the Alamo City by Psi Alpha Chapter. Over 100 Brothers met at the Psi Alpha Chapter Fraternity House to celebrate this occasion. From our humble beginnings we are now a Chapter of close to 200 financial members. San Antonio is a Chapter influenced by the large active duty and retired military who reside in our city.
Alzheimer’s Walk 2022
On October 15, 2022, Psi Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated participated in the 2022 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease. Psi Alpha Chapter was represented by twelve brothers and raised a total of $745 towards the effort.
