Charley, a Texas A&M University-San Antonio alumna and Jourdanton native, brings her passion for writing and love for all things culinary to our community, ready to explore hidden gems and budget-friendly dining options with you.

“Howdy! I’m Charley Gallegos, your new go-to guide here at San Antonio Observer Newspaper, where we’re diving headfirst into the delightful world of food, drink, and all things budget-friendly. So, who am I? Well here goes… I am from Jourdanton, Texas but I am thrilled to meet new people in the San Antonio community. I attended Texas A&M University-San Antonio and majored in Communications. Me and my husband share 3 beautiful children so when I am not writing about these delicious restaurants, I am either at a softball field or golf course with my children. I have a huge passion for writing, so I am excited to write about one of my favorite things to do, EAT!
