Meet Nike’s 2025 NIL Class: Chavez, McCoy, and Stokes

Nike Taps Basketball HS Stars Aaliyah Chavez, Brandon McCoy, and Tyran Stokes for 2025 NIL Class

Nike Basketball has unveiled its Class of 2025 NIL athletes, introducing an elite trio of five-star standouts Aaliyah Chavez, Brandon McCoy, and Tyran Stokes who embody the Swoosh’s ongoing investment in youth talent and future leadership in the sport.

This announcement further cements Nike’s place at the forefront of basketball’s NIL landscape, bringing together some of the most promising athletes in the game under one banner of creativity, courage, and community.

Aaliyah Chavez: Record-Setter and Role Model

The top-ranked player in her class, Aaliyah Chavez begins her freshman season at the University of Oklahoma after a decorated high school career at Monterey High in Lubbock, Texas. Chavez led her team to a state championship while averaging 35 points and nine rebounds per game, closing her prep run with nearly 4,800 career points and 1,300 rebounds placing her among the most prolific scorers in U.S. high school history.

A two-time Nike Nationals champion (2022, 2024) and member of the 2025 USA Women’s Nike Hoop Summit Team, Chavez is also the first No. 1 overall recruit to sign with Oklahoma.

“The women’s game is on the rise, and Nike and its athletes are a huge reason for that growth,” Chavez said. “Partnering with Nike to help grow the game even more is really exciting. I want to show the next generation of young girls that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve it.”

Brandon McCoy: Rising Star with Big Goals

Brandon McCoy, a premier prospect from Sierra Canyon High School in California, averaged 16 points and seven rebounds last season at St. John Bosco before transferring to one of the country’s most competitive programs. He captured both Mamba League Invitational and U19 FIBA World Cup championships, and placed third among all scorers at Nike’s EYBL Peach Jam, averaging 22 points per game.

“I’ve had the goal of becoming a Nike athlete written on my wall for two years, so to officially be part of the family means everything,” McCoy said. “Being surrounded by elite players and people gives me more hunger to go harder and use my platform to give back to the youth.”

Tyran Stokes: Global Gold Medalist and Community Leader

Tyran Stokes, the No. 1-ranked athlete in his class, has racked up an impressive international résumé. The Notre Dame High School standout averaged 21 points and nine rebounds last season while earning U19 and U17 FIBA World Cup gold medals, along with a U16 Americas Championship title.

“Partnering with Nike means I’m joining a team, a family and a legacy,” said Stokes. “I want to work with Nike to connect with young athletes and give feedback on our footwear and apparel—not just from me, but from my community.”

Nike’s NIL Program: Beyond Sponsorship

Nike’s NIL partnerships are built on collaboration rather than simple endorsement. Each athlete receives personalized support that spans performance, training, media, and brand development—helping them succeed on the court and in culture.

This holistic approach reflects Nike’s five-decade history as the brand of athletes, extending its mission to uplift and inspire the next generation through innovation and storytelling.

Chavez, McCoy, and Stokes join a powerhouse Nike NIL roster that includes Ace Bailey, Jazzy Davidson, AJ Dybantsa, Dylan Harper, Jerzy Robinson, and JuJu Watkins the next wave of hoopers defining the future of basketball.
