Pittman-Sullivan Park Gets a Kid-Designed Play Space
A kid-designed play space is ready for summer! The Pittman-Sullivan Park new playground was sponsored by the YMCA of Greater San Antonio, KABOOM!, The CarMax Foundation, The City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department and the community.
Mental and Creative Benefits of Play
Want to be a pirate? An airplane pilot? Perhaps an explorer or astronaut? The great thing about play is that it allows children to use their imaginations to create all those worlds where they can be anything they want to be. Playgrounds help children develop emotional skills, problem solving skills, social skills and so much more.
The community is thankful for kids who designed this playground, all the sponsors and the San Antonio Parks and Rec. for making this kid-designed playground at Pittman-Sullivan Park summer ready!
