Are You a Homeowner in Need of Help with Your Property Taxes? Free Property Tax Sessions Happening Now
In the midst of much needed information regarding property values and subsequent property taxes, various government entities have now become more proactive in their efforts to disseminate summaries of their individual functions and responsibilities.
Among them is the Office of Albert Uresti, Bexar County Tax Assessor – Collector. Mr. Uresti has been an active collaborator with the City of San Antonio’s Neighborhood & Housing Services, in their hosting of free sessions regarding homestead exemptions and property taxes (see page 6 for upcoming sessions).
At the same time, Mr. Uresti has made numerous public appearances at these sessions and also with neighborhood associations to outline his agency’s various programs and services available, to assist taxpayers, in their individual efforts to meet their tax obligations.
These services include four different payment plans:
The Quarter-Payment Plan
The Half-Payment Plan
The 10 – Month Plan and a
Pre – Payment Plan
As well as Automatic Deductions.
Furthermore, details were made regarding important tax payments and quarter – payment due dates and regarding the existance of the recently incorporated Texas Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF Grant Program), which provides assistance to Texas Home Owners who have experienced a qualified financial hardship after January 21, 2020, as a result of the Covid pandemic.
