Navy Vet. Jarvis McIntyre Laid to Rest in Hometown After Mysterious Death that SAPD Has YET To Solve

Jarvis McIntyre, a 26-year-old Navy veteran whose body was found under mysterious circumstances in San Antonio, was laid to rest last Friday afternoon. McIntyre’s funeral services will took place in his hometown of St. Louis at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

McIntyre had traveled from St. Louis to San Antonio last month to celebrate his birthday. However, just days later, his body was discovered in a wooded area off Holbrook Road on the northeast side of the city. The details surrounding his death remain unclear and suspicious.

Following the discovery, the Bexar County Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy, but the results were inconclusive, revealing no apparent cause or manner of death. In light of this uncertainty, McIntyre’s family arranged for his body to be flown back to Missouri, where they requested a second autopsy and a toxicology report. As of now, there are no updates on these additional tests. As the tests become available this story will be updated.

While detectives currently do not suspect foul play (interesting), McIntyre’s family has expressed concerns that he may have been harmed due to his skin color or sexual orientation. They are urging the police to further investigate the circumstances of his death, although no new information has been released.

The family, deeply mourning the loss of McIntyre, hopes for a thorough investigation to bring clarity and justice. Community members with any information about the case are encouraged to contact the San Antonio police.

McIntyre’s legacy as a Navy veteran will be honored as he is laid to rest among fellow servicemen and women, marking the end of a life that ended too soon and under unresolved circumstances.
