Annual Youth Art Contest Presented by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission Now Accepting Entries
Art pieces invited to delve into the theme of ‘From Past Dreams to Present Visions and Tomorrow’s Realities
In collaboration with the Department of Arts & Culture and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Department, the City of San Antonio’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission (MLK Commission) has officially launched its ninth annual Student Art Contest. This contest encourages young talents to create original artwork inspired by the 2024 theme, “Yesterday’s Dream, Today’s Vision, Tomorrow’s Reality,” devised by Devon Matthews.
The submission deadline is set for Monday, November 20, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. CST. This opportunity is available to current Bexar County residents, and the winning artwork will feature on promotional materials for the 2024 March and Commemoration scheduled for Monday, January 15, 2024.
