A Break-Up: ESPN and MLB Part Ways

MLB, ESPN Dismantle Broadcast Deal

ESPN and MLB have “mutually agreed to terminate their agreement after the 2025 season,” per a memo from league commissioner Rob Manfred obtained by The Athletic.

Manfred says MLB arrived at this decision because they’ve grown frustrated with ESPN’s lack of baseball coverage outside of its live broadcast. The collaboration was previously contracted through the 2028 season.
