J.L. August Bridge Builders Celebrates Launch of Mentoring Program for Young Leaders
The J.L. August Bridge Builders Mentoring Program officially launched its first on-site mentoring sessions at Booker T. Washington Elementary this week.
Founder Jeffrey L. August called it “a great day,” as 4th and 5th graders began the program aimed at guiding students toward leadership, growth, and brighter futures. At the request of school leadership, the foundation has partnered with the campus to provide weekly mentoring, with more students expected to join once parent permission slips are finalized.
“This is just the beginning of what we know will be a transformative journey—helping young leaders grow, dream, and build bridges to a brighter future,” August said.
The foundation says it is grateful for the opportunity to serve and looks forward to expanding the program.
